WHO WE ARE
Welcome to Dar Parucca,
ours is a contemporary tavern where Roman dishes are revisited with organic ingredients,
coming from small producers with a story to tell.
Ten years ago, when we started, no one would have bet on us.
Pigneto was already one of the most talked about neighborhoods in Rome at the time, certainly not for good reasons.
Via Macerata was perhaps the most difficult road to focus on.
We didn't want to open an organic tavern that simply focused on the quality of the raw materials.
Quality without consistency is just appearance. And we are people of substance.
The cornerstone around which the very existence of the Dar Parucca biosteria revolves is ethical catering.
Our environment reflects the bohemian spirit of the Pigneto neighborhood, a lively place where different cultures
where new balances meet and experiment. We are an authentic, genuine and welcoming tavern,
just like the ones of the past, ready to let you enjoy a unique culinary experience.

Imagination and heart
Do you know why it's called PARUCCA?
Legend or history, you decide,
tells of two reasons:
the first is that the Parucca
she wandered around the capital with a long mane and, when the carnival of Poggio Mirteto arrived,
She was wearing an original wig that her mother had made when she was young when she cut off her very long black hair.
The second reason, perhaps the funniest, he will tell you in person so you can have a laugh together.

Born in Pigneto, raised among the Amatrician stoves, he guards the secrets of the Roman culinary tradition handed down by his family.
Everything was going well for him until he met the Parucca who wanted to open this pharmacy.
Between lard and pharmacy it was born
